New! Dark Knight Rises “Fire” Poster Revealed Today

Today the new, The Dark Knight Rises “Fire” poster was released on the official Facebook page. I like the colors and design of this one the most compared to the others before it. The same visual themes and cues return from the earlier posters, but this time Batman is front and center, and chaos is everywhere.

I know lots of people are excited to see this movie, but I like to play the skeptic.

Will it make millions of dollars? Yes. Will millions of fans collectively cream their pants when they first see it. Definitely. But will it mean it’s a better movie? I’m not so sure.

The Dark Knight was such a huge hit. Both movie-goers and the critics agreed that it raised the bar for what we expect in a superhero film. It was on many people’s best-of-year lists for a reason. That’s why I’m afraid for the film. It did everything so well that to expect Nolan to achieve that level of greatness is maybe impossible. With this year’s The Avenger’s breaking records and dominating the box office, we all know that it’s going to have an uphill battle. I mean, The Avenger’s was actually much better than I could have ever expected, and as a movie, it had a good story, a good cast and a good director in Joss Whedon. The Dark Knight has all those things as well, and even if it’s a good movie, a great movie, it’s going to be hard to be much better than The Dark Knight.

I want this movie to be impossibly good, and that’s where I know I will be wrong, but I can at least admit it. Either way, I’m super excited. Let’s put a smile on that face! Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Batman! ∞

The Dark Knight Rises is opening in theaters and IMAX on July 20 featuring stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

  1. It seems to me that this website doesnt load up in a Motorola Droid. Are other folks getting the same problem? I enjoy this site and dont want to have to miss it whenever Im away from my computer.

    • You are not the only one who is having issues with the RSS feed, and as of this moment i’m not 100% sure what’s wrong let me find out!

  2. I experimented with taking a look at your blog in my iphone and the design doesnt seem to be right. Might wanna check it out on WAP as well as it seems most cellphone layouts are not working with your web page.

  3. I have got 1 recommendation for your weblog. It appears like right now there are a number of cascading stylesheet troubles when opening a number of web pages in google chrome as well as opera. It is functioning okay in internet explorer. Possibly you can double check this.

    • I tried a few things to hopefully help the problems you were having. Since I don’t have either of those browsers, I couldn’t test it directly, by one of my friends said Chrome was working good with my page. Let me know, I want to do my best to make this page a good as possible before ramping content again next week.

  4. Thanks for being so patient everyone, I apologize for the delays. I managed to fix the mobile phone issues (tested on 4 different phones) but the CSS issues continue to persist. I would need to update my account so I can go in and edit the code directly. It appears the theme is indeed causing the headaches, however the built in Firefox and Safari CSS Readers have no problem. There’s also an updated iPad layout. I wouldn’t have any idea what was going on if it weren’t for you all so thank you for the feedback so I can make this site even better! On another note, don’t worry new content is coming back next week! After a little hiatus (I was busy writing, working, editing, and filming for new blog content) a steady stream of content is coming, and I’m really excited for what I have in the future. Stay tuned!

  5. This is really a wonderful web site, would you be interested in going through an interview regarding just how you developed it? If so e-mail myself!

    • Ahh it never ends 😛 Thanks for letting me know, I’ll check around and see why it’s acting this way all the time. It’s always interesting to hear how people are seeing my blog.

  6. Re: The person who created the statement that this was a great website really needs to have their brain analyzed.

    • Wow, I think you will be a great OB. It seems like you have a real love for children, fmielias, and people in general. Sad to say that those qualities are rare traits in todays world. I believe not just anyone should be in just any job because you could be in a job that you hate and end up making everyone who comes in contact with you at work miserable. You have the joy and care to be great at your job and effect those you will be working around not only by your knowledge , but by your love for what you do.

  9. This is a wonderful blog, would you be interested in going through an interview regarding just how you made it? If so e-mail myself!

  10. Do youve a spam issue on this site; I also am a blogger, and I was questioning your situation; we now have created some great methods and were searching to exchange options with other people, be positive to blast me an e-mail if planning to pursue.

    • that I was going to write a review last year when you cnelaed the rental property we were moving out of and didn’t. The technicians cnelaed the carpet and it looked like new. When we moved in there were stains and paint on the carpet and the agent had them cnelaed again with her company but they were still there when we moved in. Well, they weren’t there when we moved out, it looked like we had replaced the carpet. So why write a review now? We moved into our new house just short of a year ago and with the new house we increased our family with new puppies. I was very diligent about green machining and cleaning the spots but I knew that I was only getting the top half of the carpet. So I called Monster Clean again to come clean my new home carpets and they look like they did the day we moved in. I know that they were able to deep clean accidents that you couldn’t see. I am so happy and relieved that I know that my carpets are clean and fresh. Thank you I wouldn’t use anyone else and I will recommend and refer friends, family and clients from my own business. Your technicians are great!

    • I had a rather hard time chnooisg just one type of physician I would want to work for. So many of them fascinate me, and with me not really going into any medical field other than support, I never gave this any thought in the past. After reading the list, I am more favorable of working for a neonatologist. It is difficult to think about how neonatologist physicians sometimes have the most difficult job in the world, but I can only imagine how amazing it would be to be a part of saving a baby’s life. I had a coworker once whose baby was born at 36 weeks, and her baby had a lot of heart and lung problems. There were concerns about whether or not they would ever fully develop once she had him, but after many months in the NICU, and many scares that happened during it, the doctors were able to save him and he is now a very healthy 5 year old. It is because of that I have a higher interest in the neonatologist field.I hate to say which type of physician I would care less to work for, and it is because I worry that many will take it the wrong way. When I was 16, I used to help my mom at an assisted living home as a caregiver. We would get to work at 7:00 A.M. every morning to prepare breakfast for four of the elderly men and women that we were caring for. We would then make sure that all bedding was changed, rooms were cleaned, meals were prepared, and appointments were handled. We worked 12 hour days, and they were always grueling. The owner of the home made sure that everyone had their medicine and made it to their doctor appointments on time. However, she was more worried about getting paid for her services than actually helping the elderly. She would yell at them if they did something wrong, and even call them terrible names. My mom reported her and we both quit our job, but it has always left a sting in my heart since then. It is because of my experience with that situation that I do not think I could ever work for a gerontologist. I know that the situations would be much different, but ever since my experience with caring for elderly individuals it is very hard for me to think about assisting a physician in geriatrics because I worry that someone else might treat the elderly in the same way the owner of the home did. I am a firm believer that the elderly deserve the ultimate care and comfort when going through any treatment and aging in general, but I do not think I could ever work in that environment again.

    • The tenet moved out of my rental pretproy without telling me and left a great mess including stains in my 6 mo old carpet. I called Monster Clean and scheduled them to come out. Of course on the day of, the power had been turned off even though it was supposed to be transferred into my name when the tenant closed their account. I called Monster Clean to let them know the situation and reschedule to another time. Jim suggested I keep him informed of the power situation and let me know that they would still come if it was cut on shortly he even called me to check a couple of times. When I was still in the dark after an hour, he called one of his trucks with a generator to come out. This was the Friday afternoon before Opsail/harbor fest so I’m sure the guys were looking forward to getting an early start on the weekend. Long behold TWO trucks showed up just after 4:00 and banged the job out in less than an hour! The guys all had a GREAT attitude and did an awesome job! I will be recommending Monster Clean to anyone I hear needs a carpet job. They will definitely be the first ones I call from now on!

    • I have not really cohesn what kind of specialists I would like to work under, but I do believe that it would be fun to work in a Psychiatrist’s office. I originally was going for my B.A. in Psychology, but switched. There are so many to choose from that sound absolutely interesting. Such as working under an Internist or going simple and working under a Family practitioner. Even Gerontologist sounds like fun. I love the “aging population” and they have stories and much to teach. For the moment I am going to take this degree one step at a time and try to find the place that fits me best.
